Common questions
The short answers before you ask for the link.
Is Emcognito really free?
Yes. The Free plan covers 35 forwarded messages per month at no cost, no credit card required. Upgrade to Plus ($2.50/mo) or Pro ($4/mo) only when you need more.
How does the magic-link sign-in work?
Enter your email and we send a single-use sign-in link that expires after 15 minutes and is consumed when verified. After signing in you can add a passkey; supported platform providers may sync it across your devices.
What's an anonymous email alias?
An alias is a forwarding address on emcognito.com that hides your real inbox. Mail sent to the alias lands in your normal inbox, and you can suspend or delete the alias the moment it starts attracting spam.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Emcognito runs entirely in your browser and forwards mail to whatever inbox you already use — Gmail, Outlook, ProtonMail, your own domain, anything.
