Pricing

Simple pricing.

Every plan includes unlimited anonymous aliases. You pay for forwarded emails — the thing that actually costs us to run.

Emcognito charges by the email, not by the alias. The Free plan covers 100 forwarded messages per month at no cost. Plus is $2 per month for 2,500 forwards. Pro is $4 per month for 15,000 forwards plus optional pay-as-you-go overage at $0.001 per send. Every tier includes unlimited aliases on the emcognito.com domain and one-click cancellation.

What counts as a 'forwarded email'?

Every message that arrives at one of your anonymous aliases and gets forwarded to your real inbox counts as one. Aliases themselves are free — you can make as many as you want on any plan.

What's the difference between Plus and Pro?

Plus ($2/mo) lifts your forward cap to 2,500 a month — 25× the Free cap — and drops the small sponsor card from your forwarded mail. Pro ($4/mo) is for heavy senders: 15,000 forwards a month, optional pay-as-you-go above that at $0.001/send, and a custom subdomain (coming Q3).

How does reply from alias work?

Reply from any Emcognito alias is available on the Plus and Pro plans. When a forwarded email arrives, the Reply-To header is rewritten so you can hit reply in your normal mail client (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) and the recipient still sees only your alias — your real address is never exposed. On the Free plan, aliases forward to your inbox but replies aren't delivered.

What happens if I hit my monthly cap?

Additional messages are silently dropped and you'll get one email telling you you've hit your limit. Senders don't learn anything — no bounce — so your anonymity stays intact. Caps reset on the 1st of every month.

Do you charge tax?

Yes, via Stripe Tax — VAT, GST, and US sales tax are computed automatically based on your billing address and added at checkout.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your billing settings and keep your plan until the end of the current period. No contracts, no refund hoops.

I've been using Emcognito for years — what happens to me?

We're grandfathering every existing account for 90 days at the Plus cap (2,500/month), plenty of runway to decide. We'll send a coupon for 50% off your first year if you decide to upgrade.

Disposable address or email alias — which does Emcognito give me?

Both, really. Every Emcognito address is an alias that forwards to your inbox, but unlike traditional aliases you can suspend or delete one the moment it leaks. If you want a deeper breakdown, read our disposable email vs email alias guide.
