Both plans include unlimited anonymous aliases, replies from your delivery log or your own mail app, the ability to start conversations from an alias, new aliases from your iPhone and new-sender alerts. Pro adds a longer delivery-log history and a higher forward cap, and starts with a 7-day trial.
Emcognito has two plans. Plus ($20 a year, or $2.50 a month) and Pro ($36 a year, or $4 a month) both include unlimited anonymous aliases, replying from your delivery log or your own mail app, new-sender alerts with one-tap block, and composing brand-new mail from any alias, with no footer on forwarded messages; what is metered is forwarded email: 2,500 per month on Plus, 15,000 on Pro. Pro starts with a 7-day trial; you enter a card at checkout and nothing is charged if you cancel before the trial ends. Plus has no trial. Both plans cancel in one click.

What is metered
Forwarded messages, not aliases. Every message that arrives at one of your anonymous aliases and is forwarded to your real inbox counts as one: 2,500 a month on Plus, 15,000 on Pro. Aliases themselves are not metered — make as many as you want on any plan, and a suspended alias counts nothing.
On Plus and Pro, a reply sent from your own mail app uses one send from the same monthly allowance. Composing new mail from an alias has its own daily send cap, higher on Pro than on Plus.
What happens to mail once a plan reaches its cap is answered in the questions below.
The fine print
- The Pro trialPro only
Pro starts with a 7-day trial, once per account. You enter a card at Stripe checkout and nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing; otherwise Pro renews at the price you picked. Plus has no trial.
- Cancelling is one clickEvery paid plan
One click in your billing settings, and we never charge you again from that moment. You keep the plan you have already paid for until the period ends. No contracts, no cancellation fee, nobody to email. The unused part of a period is not refunded.
- Prices and renewalUSD
Prices are in US dollars. A yearly plan is charged once a year and a monthly plan once a month; both renew until you cancel.

Pricing FAQ
What counts as a 'forwarded email'?
Every message that arrives at one of your anonymous aliases and gets forwarded to your real inbox counts as one. Aliases themselves are not metered — you can make as many as you want on any plan.
Is there a free plan or a free trial?
There is no free plan for accounts opened on or after 12:00 UTC on October 29, 2026. Pro comes with a 7-day trial: you enter a card at Stripe checkout, nothing is charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you pay nothing. Plus has no trial and is charged when you subscribe. Mail starts forwarding as soon as a plan is on your account.
What's the difference between Plus and Pro?
Plus ($20 a year, or $2.50 a month) is the plan for everyday organizers and private replies: compose new mail from any alias, keep 6 months of delivery-log history from the day you upgrade, forward up to 2,500 messages a month, and drop the footer from forwarded mail. Pro ($36 a year, or $4 a month) is for developers and heavier composing and forwarding, and for a longer record: 12 months of delivery-log history from the day you upgrade, higher daily compose capacity and 15,000 forwards a month.
How long is my delivery log kept?
Your delivery log (who wrote to which alias, the subject, and what happened to each message — never the message itself) is kept for 6 months (180 days) on Plus and 12 months (365 days) on Pro. Each entry's window is set when it is written, so upgrading keeps new entries longer from that day on but does not restore older ones that have already been deleted.
Will my existing aliases get shorter if I upgrade?
No — an alias is an address you've already handed out, so we never change one. Upgrading changes the format of aliases you create from then on: k7m4-9xrt@emcognito.com instead of the longer legacy format. Short aliases are available while you are on Plus or Pro. If your plan ends, they pause 7 days later and resume when you resubscribe. Standard aliases are unaffected.
How does reply from alias work?
On Plus and Pro, hit Reply in your own mail app and the reply goes out from the alias; your real address is not shown. It is accepted only when it comes from the address you sign in with and your mail provider's SPF and DKIM checks pass, and each reply uses one send from your monthly allowance. Anything else is refused at once with a message. Nothing waits for approval. You can also sign in and use Reply securely in your delivery log, for delivered messages from the last 7 days. Contact hello@wm.emcognito.com for help.
Can I send a brand-new email from an alias, not just reply?
Yes. Compose from an alias is a Plus and Pro feature: a web form that sends brand-new mail from your alias, so the recipient only ever sees the alias — never your real inbox. Their replies come back to you as normal forwards. Answering mail already forwarded to you, from your delivery log or your own mail app, is included too; composing new mail is paid because a card on file is our strongest anti-abuse control. See how compose from an alias works.
What happens if I hit my monthly cap?
Once you pass your plan's monthly forward allowance, mail may wait undelivered for up to 72 hours while the bounded holding area has capacity. Upgrade within the displayed hold window to release mail that is still held. Mail refused because the hold is full, or deleted after its window expires, is permanently missed and cannot be recovered, and its sender isn't told. Once held mail starts expiring, new mail to your aliases may be refused with a "mailbox over quota" bounce until your held mail clears.
Do you charge tax?
Stripe uses the billing details you enter to determine whether tax applies. Any tax Stripe calculates is shown in the hosted checkout before you confirm payment.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes — one click in your billing settings, and we never charge you again from that moment. You keep the plan you've already paid for until the period ends. No contracts, no cancellation fee, nobody to email. We don't refund the unused part of a period, so there's no refund to chase.
I already have a Free account — what happens to me?
Nothing changes today. Your aliases, history and plan stay as they are. You keep the Free plan until January 15, 2027 at 00:00 UTC; the date is shown in the app at least 60 days ahead, or when an account we unbanned can sign in again. You can move to Plus or Pro at any time.
Disposable address or email alias — which does Emcognito give me?
Both, really. Every Emcognito address is an alias that forwards to your inbox, but unlike traditional aliases you can suspend or delete one the moment it leaks. If you want a deeper breakdown, read our disposable email vs email alias guide.
How does Emcognito compare with Apple, DuckDuckGo, Firefox Relay, and Proton Pass?
Those tools are good fits for specific ecosystems. Emcognito is browser-neutral, gives every plan unlimited aliases, and meters forwarded mail instead of addresses. For a side-by-side breakdown, see our email alias service comparison.
Pick a plan. Pro starts with a 7-day trial.
Unlimited aliases on both plans. You enter a card at checkout, and nothing is charged if you cancel the Pro trial before day 7.
